Cricket buff Varun Dhawan's joy knew no bounds when he got to meet the Master Blaster while promoting his action adventure, 'Dishoom', this July."He goes bonkers every time he meets Sachin Tendulkar," a source close to the 29-year-old actor informs Mirror.
On Saturday, Varun was in Guwhati announcing the owners of the football team owners at the opening ceremony of a new league. He announced the names of Alia Bhatt, John Abraham, Nita Ambani and cricketer MS Dhoni, leaving the best for the last. "I've always wanted to hear an audience screaming "Sachin Sachin" on top of their voices, so can we do it now please," he urged as the crowd rooted.
He was still mooning over the jadoo ki jhappi his idol had given him when he was told that the legendary cricketer would be on the same private jet as him and the other actors on their way back to the Bay.Varun was in too much of a daze to remember much of the ride but he did manage to raise a toast with chilled lassi to the `One and only Sachin". And he has a pic too for keepsake. In cricketing parlance, that would easily qualify as a clean sweep!
