Ajith's Thirupathi, quite expectedly opened in a big way on Thursday.
Ajith's fans had a festive time putting up colorful posters, banners and hoarding at all the theatres where the movie was released.
Since early in the morning fans queued up in large numbers in front of the theatres and raised slogans hailing their 'hero' and in several places they even performed Pal Abhishekam on the banners of Ajith.
A visibly happy Guhan of AVM Productions, said, 'As expected our movie has opened up in a big way. Several theatres it has been running houseful shows and advance booking is over till the middle of next week.'
The movie stars Ajith, Sada, Riyaz Khan, Pyramid Natarajan among others. The music is by Bharadwaj and story, screenplay, dialogue and direction by Perarasu.
