Akhil and his girl friend Shriya Bhupal are going to get engaged on Dec 9. This is going to be held at GVR House at 7 p.m. The news is that it will be a "family affair attended by close family members only", a highly-placed source says. However, Akhil will throw a bash to the industry folks on the next day. "With the blessings of Smt. Annapurna & Sri. Akkineni Nageswara Rao, we take immense pleasure in inviting you to the engagement ceremony of our son Akhil with Shriya, daughter of Shalini and Somanadri Bhupal," the invite, made public a few weeks ago, said. Their marriage next year is planned to be an extravagant, destination marriage in Italy.
