Epic Telugu film 'Baahubali', which was praised for its technical finesse and the imagination of the director SS Rajamouli, has won several awards in the technicians and supporting cast categories. However, the lead actor Prabhas, who has devoted three years for the film, has been shown empty hand in all the award ceremonies held so far.
At last, Prabhas has now won an award for 'Baahubali'. Santosham awards for 2016 have been announced and Prabhas is named the Best Actor of 2015 for his phenomenal effort to lift Baahubali to international level. Fans of Young Rebel Star, who were elated the box office performance of the film, finally have got a reason to cheer as far as awards are concerned.
Most of the awards of this season were grabbed by either Baahubali or Srimanthudu. While Baahubali pocketed all the awards in technical category, Mahesh Babu swept all the awards in the Best Actor category. NTR was declared winner in the Maa TV awards though.
