A lot of Leading Producers including Dil Raju have competed to bag the Telugu theatrical rights of 'Kabali' after the historic feat of its teaser on Youtube. Finally, A Distributors Duo managed to struct the deal with Producer Kalaipuli S Thanu by offering a whopping amount.
Actually, A lot of Telugu Producers offered Rs 30 crore for 'Kabali' theatrical and satellite rights. But, Producer demanded Rs 32 crore for the Telugu version.
Distributors Praveen and Chowdhary of Shanmukha Films bagged the right by paying a bomb. They, however, refused to disclose the exact figure but confirms release would be on July 1st.
Earlier, Shanmukha Films distributed several successful films in Telugu States. They were the ones who distributed 'Soggade Chinni Nayana' in West Godavari.
