Koratala Siva Goes Wrong?

Koratala Siva's latest offing Janatha Garage has opened to mixed reviews and especially many are finding fault with the film's climax that was finished abruptly in a very hurried manner.

While the film's first half was pretty flat with very little to offer, the film appears to have picked up post-interval. But that joy didn't last long as right after few good moments, the movie begins going downhill. NTR's nature lover part, showcased in the first half, is totally forgotten and it completely gets into regular NTR mode - back-to-back fights, item song, tragedy, heavy sentimental scenes, forced comedy and the final fight. Since the very beginning, the film is so predictable that even people, who haven't seen films in recent times, would predict scenes accurately in this age-old story, screenplay. Moving towards climax, the film ends with hero eliminating all baddies at once.

No doubt, writer-director Koratala writes impressive scenes, plots, twists and especially interval bangs in his films are pretty good (one must admit this). Yet his problem is this - Climax. Even Siva's last directorial Srimanthudu suffered with similar problem as the film's climax wasn't etched well.

At a time when Siva is supported by great stars, best technicians in his films, it's difficult for us to understand what's holding him back in delivering good climax.

Siva needs to focus on finishing his films well. Let's hope he will overcome this soon.
