Dev Patel's latest Hollywood film Lion has started making waves even before its theatrical release in November. Lion was screened at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival on the 10th of this month and was appreciated by critics, who predict its dream run at the Oscars next year.
Lion is based on the real life story of an Australia-based businessman of Indian origin Saroo Brierley, who was separated from his biological mother in his childhood and was adopted by an Australian couple.
Lion is based on the book A Long Way Home authored by Saroo after he visited his biological mother in Madhya Pradesh after nearly 25 years. Oscar winning Hollywood access Nicole Kidman played Dev Patel's Australian mother in Lion. The film will release on November 25th.
