Yesterday Speaking at a meeting organized to support R Radhakrishnan, who is pitted against Vishal in the forthcoming Producers Council elections, Thanu said, 'Vishal done nothing for the welfare of the producers'. Long ago, Vishal promised that he would lead a team from the council to fight against piracy.
But he never turned up after that'.Thanu urged Vishal not to spoil the unity among producers in Tamil cinema. 'We have been supporting every small to big producer ever since we took up office'.
As many as 12 producers who have made films with Vishal are now suffering from debts, he added.Interestingly the meeting saw a team led by Amma Creations T Shiva announcing to withdraw front the elections and extend support to Radhakrishnan. Said Shiva, 'I always want a full-time producer to lead the council but not a part-time producer. Only he can understand the pain and need of his colleagues.
So we withdrew from the elections and extend support to Radhakrishnan team'.'Vishal is riding on two horses. If there is any problem between a producer and an actor, which side would he support for? The situation will be in favor only for that actor, as Vishal himself is one', Shiva said.
