Vijay and Murugadoss to appear in Court

'Ilayathalapathy' Vijay and director A.R.Murugadoss have been summoned by a Court in Tanjore in a case related to their critically acclaimed blockbuster film ‘Kaththi’.

Anbu Rajeshekar an MCA graduate from a village in Tanjore district had made a short film titled ‘Thaaga Bhoomi’. He has filed a case in a Tanjore Court alleging that the basic plot of ‘Kaththi’ has been taken from his short film without getting his consent. He has added the names of the film’s lead hero Vijay, Director Murugadoss. Producers Karunakaran and Subashkaran. Cinematographer George.C.Williams and Executive Producer Neelakanda Narayanapur as defendants.

The Judge who admitted the petition for hearing, has ordered to send summons for Vijay, Murugadoss and others to appear in the court on October 15.

Vijay’s mega budget fantasy entertainer ‘Puli’ is getting ready to release on October 1 amid roaring expectations and the star is currently busy shooting for his next film directed by Atlee. Murugadoss on the other hand is presently directing the Bollywood film ‘Akira’ with Sonakshi Sinha playing the lead role.
