When asked the reason she said she was worried that some one in the crowd might misbehave with her. The actress denied acting that day because of this fear haunting her and the poor director had to shoot the hero's sequences alone.
The next day when the director made sure that Mallika was provided with enough security and that there was no chance of anyone in the crowd to misbehave with her the Bollywood nymph shot for all the scenes confidently and gave her best shot. 'Ugly Aur Pagli' stars Ranvir Shorey and Mallika Sherawat in the lead roles.
