Well, it’s not for a film with Deepika Padukone after rumors suggesting that Ayan Mukherjee [director of Wake up Sid] is keen on casting the leggy beauty opposite Ranbir but for a brand that is in the business of selling fairness creams. Apparently Ranbir never believes in the idea of being fair leads to more opportunities, confidence building, girlfriends etc, so he turned down the lucrative offer from the authorities of the brand after meeting them.
Ranbir also believes that his style statement from Wake up Sid was copied by one and all of youth, so is no mood to repeat it by endorsing fairness creams which may create a negative impression among his fans. The actor who is on endorsing spree off late is quite keen on electing what he endorses, says a source. At present Ranbir is associated with brands such as Pepsi, Nissan Micra, and Hero-Honda etc.
It seems that Kapoor lad is as choosy with his ads as he is with his films. Wonder what Katrina and Deepika have to say to this after all they endorse fairness cream brands
