Suriya Siva Kumar is celebrating his Birthday today [July 23]. Born as Saravanan in 1975 to actor Sivakumar, Suriya is his screen name bestowed by producer Mani Ratnam.
The 39-year-old has started his career in 1997 with Nerrukku Ner and received his first award in 2001, Tamil Nadu state award for Best Actor [Nandha].
Suriya got his much needed break with Gautham Menon directed Kaakha Kaakha with Jyothika and had no turning back from then. In his 17 years of industry career, Suriya acted in 30+ movies and has also shared screen space with Vijay in Nerrukku Ner and Friends.
